Broken bottles

It was the end of December, just before Christmas, and I really wanted to find a golden candlestick holder. I felt the Lord gave me a picture of a specific charity shop and a specific place within this charity shop to look, so I headed up there to see what I could find.

As I went in and headed over to this particular area, I bent down and saw about five old vintage-looking small glass bottles! I thought, "Oh, these are so cute! I'm going to buy some of them to put flowers in around the house!"

As I looked closer, I couldn't believe it! One of them said California on it, but not just California... San Francisco, California!! As I looked at the next one, I saw that it said GLASGOW, and another one Malton!

So wild! I literally couldn't believe it.

I had recently spent three years in Northern California, flying in and out of San Francisco each time. I'd spent the last 18 months trying to get back there but so far had two different visa denials.

Over this time, I'd based myself at my mum's house in North Yorkshire, and Malton was a little town 30 minutes drive away from me!!

I'd also spent the year studying online with a group of prophets in Glasgow, and the Lord had been talking to me more and more about spending chunks of time up there to glean and grow!

So the three places that I'd really been journeying with and carrying in my heart over this last season!!! WOW. I literally couldn't believe it. How precious.

I, of course, bought these bottles.

Fast forward to last Tuesday (25th Feb). I'd just done my final prayer walk around Ripon. I was packing and getting ready to travel the next day to Ibiza, before then at the end of the next month, moving to Glasgow.

Just a few weeks before, I hadn't even been authorised an ESTA into the US, so I wasn't able to visit there on holiday. So for now, I'd surrendered the US over to the Lord and had decided to throw everything into His prompting to move to Glasgow.

As I reached over to grab something, I must have knocked the bottles that were on the side over, and two of them fell into my bin and smashed!

I looked down and was so sad to see this, noooo!! I reached to see the one that was still standing and saw that it was the one that said GLASGOW.

Wahhh! loved and hated this moment so much!

God was being so clear that my assignment in North Yorkshire, for now, was complete. He was confirming that also California was not in my immediate present (however much I long for it to be). But how I was right on track with Glasgow!

I was absolutely baffled at the sweetest reminder here from the Lord of how He is in everything!
