Filled with FEAR

Today I was struck from my bible reading plan, Exodus chapter 34, when Moses comes down from spending 40 days and night with the Lord and His face SHONE, that everyone that saw was filled with FEAR.

"Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him."

This made me think about the times when the angels appeared to people at different points for instance in Luke 2:8,

"And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear."

Or when with Zachariah,

"And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him."

Could the same GLORY that was on Moses face that caused the people who then saw him have provoked the same reaction as the ones who were in the presence of angelic beings?

Both reflecting the glory of the Lord as Moses was in the presence of the Lord and the angelic beings would have likely just come from the throne room of heaven.

God's glory breaking into the normal spaces.
